Took this shot last week. It was busy hunting and wasn't bothered by my presence.

Love the pose with nice head angle, the bird looks sharp with good white details. Also like the angle of shooting as well. I would consider toning down or desaturated the background to gain more attention to the bird.

I agree with Thanaboon. Those greens are bright and compete with the egret for attention. The reflections in the water are lovely.

Thanx for the comments. Here it is with the background darkened/desaturated a bit. And, I rotated the image just a tad clockwise (it looked a little crooked).

Lovely bird and pose, and I love it against the green. The whites on the egret are looking a little bit greyish/muddy at least on the lower half of the bird. The RP works better. The more the BG is toned down, the more your bird will show up rather than competing between the 2.
