Superb! The deep red on the male with the perfect head angle is a show stopper. I know you create wonderful perches, what I don't get is how you arrange to have the birds perch in the exact right place and pose perfectly! Just got your latest e-book. Maybe the secret is in there.

Beautiful with some foliage/flower material, vertical comp works perfectly and the birds colors stand out so well from the rest of the image, nice detail in the blacks but maybe slightly over sharpened...maybe ?

Very well framed, Alan. A top notch shot as usual. Love the colours on this one, perfect HA and catchlight.

Artistically this tops the charts with color, exposure, composure and all the boxes one can check.
Naturally it looks a little odd. It's kinda like I'm looking down, as the perch looks spun on its side.
Unless the leaves grow vertically away from the sun(?)
All in all, I'd love to have this in my files.

Just Beautiful in every way. A perfect example of what your first book is all about.

Alan's secret to that question is revealed in his first Book: " The Guide to Songbird Set-up Photography." Still one of my fav books. Thank's Alan!
