Today, I was going for duo and I got some frames of the two owlets. Tomorrow, I am going for the Trio:

Camera Canon EOS 5D Mark III
Focal Length 400mm
Shutter Speed 1/400 sec
Aperture f/7.1
ISO/Film 640
Filled Flash

For some reasons, I am unable to use the link from my smugmug website to add picture. It keeps giving an error.

Troy:

Very cute, love the peek a boo pose. The birds seem a bit murky because of their location in the hole, so I brightened them just a bit, and increased the contrast. I also trimmed the trunk a bit to show them off better.

Cheers

Thank you Randy, it is a tough nest, when they are in about that depth or further, it is hard to get it right.
I am shooting with 400mm 5.6L now, with 3.5m minimum focus, don't have any extension tube and will pick up my 600mm next month. Tough, when I get my 70-200mm I will try that. Or hope they come out the nest before then.

Troy, this is such a great image. To give it more impact, i would darken the the inside of the hole where the flash opened it up,

Very nice one; agree with darkening the inside of the hole. I'd sharpen the birds a bit more. Hope you catch them with the other lenses as well.

Thank you guys, any suggestions on how to darken the area?

Hey Troy, another nice image of these cute owlets. I gave it a quick try to darken the inside part of nest using levels...hope you like it.

I selected the inside of trunk and adjusted levels so that it becomes dark but does not look unreal...then selected inverse and removed selection for lower part of trunk and for curves pinned shadow and highlight portion and pulled the curves for mid tone slightly.
