Another from the prairie-chicken lek.
Canon 1dIV and 500mm+1.4x, f8, ISO 800, 1/500sec and removed distracting spot above the back.

Trey:

A very colorful fellow, nice shooting angle, strong sense of the environment without being overpowering.

It appears a bit bright too me, so I ran a luminosity layer at 35% Multiply blend mode. You obviously were there, but it seemed to present a little better with this change.

Cheers

Randy

Hi Trey,

I like the low shooting angle, the detail and the vibrant reds and yellows. I like Randy's repost a bit better, but I'm always at fault for having an image that's a touch too bright. I never notice it until after I see a darker version.

Like the repost and everything else but the too tall scraggly grasses in front of the bird.

Crazy looking bird, like it a lot.

Repost has improved slightly and like the natural habitat composition...no doubt exactly where one would expect to find a Prairie Chicken
