It's been very windy at our coast region in Yucatan. I was happy to get this little fellow in this still position while laying on the beach.

Classic beauty! I love it. Gorgeously shallow DOF on the water but plenty for the bird.

Nice . . . low angle and sharp . . . a little large in the frame?

Nice low angle and plenty sharp. I would give it a bit more room all the way around.

Lorant:

Nothing like looking up at a sandpiper! Good shooting angle, sharp, well exposed. Nice head angle.

I do agree with Wendell, could be framed slightly looser.

Cheers

Lorant, nice job of getting close to this guy. If you have a bit more room around, I would use it.

I like the IQ, details, exposure and low angle. I find it a little large in the frame as well. Nice image Lorant.

That is very nice image...Love the low shooting angle, pose, sharpness, exposure and head angle..I would consider removing second small catch light and leaving some more space all around as it looks little tight in frame for my taste...TFS

Thanks for the comments everybody. Here it is with a bit more room over all and more clean up on the water. I like the original version as well, because it amplifies the size of this very small bird from this point of view. Sachin, I will leave the 2nd catch light. I know it is a point of discussion among photographers, but I feel it has to be there, since it is natural. I did not use flash here.
