After the peek-a-boo, it came up higher to look at what I was doing. The owlet was shocked because my lens turned white. :bg3::bg3:

Hey troy, I thought maybe the owlet was like you and now you both have seen the light..! DON

Is that a Barred Owl chick? Cool shot, I love the expression and the crop to make the surrounding tree trunk fill out the image.

Really love the expression and that's one neat nest for this young owl..you must be thrilled to have found it...TFS

That is one spied-out looking eastern screech owlet. Love the look/facial expression.
Interesting composition....I'm wondering why you composed with so much of the
trunk above the owlet...just leaves the "virtual" cavity feeling cramped imo.

Love the expression of the owlet very much and very good sharpness and details throughout the image. I might try to crop so the owlet move up in frame and see what happen.

It is Screech owl. I did not want to center it so I placed it a bit below. The way the nest was, it was best doing portrait crop...having to include this much. I am at the minimal focus distance, hoping to shoot with 70-200 once I get the lens.

I like the expression and the detail in the tree. I like the crop as is, but I may darken the right pupil just a smidge. Great job and great find.

I have to agree that the composition doesn't work for me in this case. I would like to see more space below. Other than that the exposure and details are awesome.

very cool Troy! love the view of the nest. I'd crop it a bit tighter
