Just shipped my 600mm to the new owner. Until the new 600mm arrives, I will have to go through my NAS to do some cleanup and edit some more pics.

Sweet image Troy and nice processing work to control the highlights.

RE: 500mm, I was using the 500mm F4 v1 and that thing is handholdable which indicates the new Canon 600mm will be equally handholdable considering the shift in weight balance. 500mm mark II will be sweet for boat trips etc. ANywhere with crampt shooting conditions and when you need to pack, not so much light, but compact.

Good luck shifting the Nikon gear.

Jamie

Thanks Jamie. I only have 70-200 VRI left and some small accessories. No rush in selling. :t3

Lovely pair, Troy, and they go so well against the green. I love how they are facing each other. If you have the space, I would give it a little looser crop to give the left chick virtual feet. I would also sharpen at the very least their heads some more. Nicely done.

Wow - wish that was one of mine.

Superb composition and detail and two perfect head-angles.

You can't ask for more.

Excellent interaction, lovely soft light and gorgeous greens. Terrific image, Troy.
I'd add just a tad below if you have it.

Very sweet shot. The BG around the subjects looks a bit funny. Perhaps from some processing???

Wonderful image! What are they??

They don't look quite like Sandhills, but maybe they're just older than the ones I've been lucky enough to see.

That little bit of sharpening made a huge difference.

I like the interaction and setting. Repost is an improvement. Well done Troy.

Peter, I like more room all around.
I disagree with the CW because the siblings were walking on the slope towards the edge of the bank.
Thank you for showing me the extra room, a great suggestion along with the sharpening.

One more thing I noticed that might help to improve an already terrific image, Troy, I am seeing a slight yellow cast. Just adjusted it in PS and looks better.

My shots seem to have that likely. Thank you guys.

very nice interaction Troy, good use of thin DOF to isolate them from the BG.
