Here's another of my favorite Bald Eagle images from Alan Murphy's workshop.

A good dramatic pose. Nice technicals...it's a shame about the tail being a bit grubby but that's just the bird making a living. If this were mine it would be on the wall:)

Absolutely brilliant Doug, my only suggestion is that it is for me a little too large in the frame.

Great techs. I like the detail in both the blacks & whites of this dynamic image. Great action. I like how the upper wing is cocked. I too could see more room on the right & bottom.

I love the pose and detail! For me, although it is an action shot, the size in the frame highlights the great detail. If I added anything it would only be a small amount.

Great shot with exceptional detail, Doug. Direct eye contact with the viewer. How many frames did you shoot to come with this many keepers?

Thanks Bill. I shot a lot of frames (maybe 1,500 per day), but I got the highest percentage of keepers that I've gotten with any Canon body ever. And by a wide margin.

Very nice Doug! Even though the wing position is asymmetric , the pose really works.
I really like the hint of clouds in the blue sky and the comp is perfect.
IQ is superb,

I love BIF photography and all I can say is, Thats a smokin shot. It has everything you could want in an action shot. Detail, exposure control, great starting to fold up pose and you even got a blue sky with clouds in it. One of the best I have seen.
