Came upon this little prothonotary warbler while watching for green heron the other day.
Was the cutest most active little bird that never wanted to get in the open for a shot
400mm, w/1.4x, 1/200, f/9, ISO 400, heavily cropped

Very nice, DAve, good head angle, detail colors, perch and bg. Not too tight either :)

Looks like it held up well to the heavy crop. Great pose, perch, BG and light. What else can you ask for.?

Excellent picture, nice details and pose.
Sharp picture with 400mm+1.4TC and heavy crop... You are steady as a rock.

And Raul, I'm not too steady....this was at 1/200 from a window mount with the vibration dampening hand laid on top

One of my favorite little songbirds that I seldom see. You did a great job showing off this handsome little fellow. He appears to be ready to give you a wink! I'm sure a wink of approval.
