Nice low level flight of this bird, the bird looking down .

The whites on the grass looks distracting a bit,
i like the owls flight

Very nice in flight image...I will clone out the white spots in BG and a round of NR on BG will help this image IMO

Lovely wing form and nailed that eye, such wonderful wing patterns captured in this shot. I myself am not so sure on the extra wide aspect of this one so maybe cropping more off the left and maybe bottom would be my suggestion

Nice job with what you had; I see it as a tighter crop from left and base, taking out thos bright patches.
Nice environment bg

Very well done flight shot, Jonathon. I agree with Phil and Richard about cropping from left and a little from the bottom. Well done.

That is one species of owl I have yet to photograph. Nice flight pose and grassy habitat. Those white spots definitely need to go though.

Congrats on finally getting this. Your wait was well rewarded. Nice flight pose and love that eye. The pano works well for me and I like the habitat depicted.
Don't mean to beat a dead horse, but I'm surprised you didn't evict those white areas.

Hey Jon,
I'm with everyone else on the white patches....even if they are snow? Just detract too much from the owl. You know my vote would be for the tighter crop.....but I know you like them a bit more loose so digital eviction will take this up a notch for me.

I am late to the party and agree on getting rid of the snow and cropping a lot tighter if the IQ will allow,
Gail

Excellent low level flight shot, Jonathan. Nice shooting angle and wing position. Are those white spots snow?
