The D800 rocks!! This is a 50% crop. I removed a few oof weeds and applied detail extractor along with usm on the bird, nr on the bg. Backlit, but I like the rim light effect!

You handled the backlighting well. Good sharpness, and I think the unconventional composition works just fine.

I absolutely love this composition and all the amazing details. The pose is unique. I would burn the bird's back feathers just a tad.

Nice composition and excellent detail!

Seems a bit bright overall to me, at least compared to the wild turkeys I have seen.

Ah Turkeys...pretty and ugly all at the same time.

I dont mind the brightness too much in this shot and particularly like the green backdrop against the colorful Turkey, nice natural setting and liking the out stetched neck as well

The details and colors are gorgeous, Dan and I really like your composition here.
The low angle, the clean bg and the grass in the fg enhance the overall look and feel of your image.
Agree that brightness could be dropped a bit.
