Usually I have found snowy plovers in the dry sand mixed in with the debris. This one was standing next to a steep drop off above the breakers on a surfer beach. It allowed me to get photos of her with the waves in the background. Occasionally she would have to run or fly to avoid the big waves coming over the top and she was much faster at reacting to them than I am.

Very very nice. Well done getting low to get that BG. Small-in-frame works well here. A splendid image.

Nice composition and sky. I wish his head was turned a bit more toward the right of the frame Nice low angle.

I like the simplistic image design. SH and EXP right on. The little lady looks a bit over-sharpened.

Great picture, nice deep shooting position in front of a perfect background.

Love this perspective, Laurie. Not only is the bird small in the frame, but I love that low angle. I am glad to see the catch light. Wouldn't be the same image without it. Also love those stray feathers under the belly.

Love the ultra low angle, and the image design. The bird placement and size in the frame works wonderfully.
Did you get any with a different head angle? I wish the other eye was either more visible or not visible at all. Lovely light too.

Very cool Laurie, I really like the comp and the shooting angle is superb, hard to get one like this.
The FG sand and ocean BG are really good.

Liking very much the powder blue sky backdrop and light on the bird is very nice, a slightly more side on HA I think may of been a slight improvement, but still a sweet shot of a very sweet subject
