While I do like Hoodies and Green-winged Teal, my favorite is the Cinnamon Teal in breeding plumage.

Me too. Beautiful shot of this Drake. Exposed well and great detail. Love the way the feathers are displayed. My only wish is to see some of the beautiful blue wing feathers. Just depends on the way the wing is positioned. Well done

The low angled light is really making this drake glow...very beautiful! Love the splayed plumage
towards the back of the bird. Nice blue hue to the water too.

Amazingly coloured variety and liking it's tail feathers displaying at different angles, blue water is the a bonus

Wonderful colors, Don. This is a duck that I hope to someday see in person. There are at least three sensor spots in the blue above the duck, just fyi.

Very nice Don, and for me at least, these guys are very tough to get close to.
Nice work.

Exceptionally gorgeous duck and your image does it justice, Don. Love the light, the colors and the details. As noted about the splayed feathers add a nice touch.

Beautiful duck, gorgeous light, great colours. I can only imagine an even lower angle (if possible)...but certainly good like this too.

Thanks, Daniel
I can imagine a lower angle also, but the risk is a $275 ticket from the wildlife officials for exiting the car ("your blind" according to signs posted) makes it not a great idea for this particular bird.....

$275 would not be worth it?:t3 Just kidding...I know it is not always possible to go for those super low angles...

MMMmm ...I can taste the cinnamon! I have never seen this duck IRL but this shot sure makes me want to see one.
I see 2 dust spots above the duck and to the right.
Lovely light and POV.
I really like the scalloped feathers on the back and the green,
Gail
