Hi Sanjeev - great detail and sharpness. Nice that we can see the eye. Good dof and low pov. I would prefer a bit more room top and bottom but especially bottom.

Rachel

Love the eye, so many times with elephannts you dont see the eye.

Hi Sanjeev, great to see you posting in this part of the Forum, seems the photographic bug has really kicked in by the number of new images you are posting across the board, great.

I agree with Rachel, certainly more room at the foot and in an 'ideal world', you didn't have the slightly distracting parts in the BKG, would have certainly isolated the subject well. Although still away and viewing on the laptop, I think applying a Luminosity layer may help overall. Whether a 100% or a % of this I will leave to you, but I think it just helps the tone overall, WDYT?

These guys have such quirky heads for those of us used to African Elephants... :bg3:
Nice exposure in the darks, I agree it needs more room at the bottom. Perhaps dodge the eye somewhat to enhance it without it looking unnatural?

edit: Nice repost by Steve

Steve, I really like your RP, it has brought out more detail and the Elle kinda pops now. Will try the luminosity mask myself and see.
cheers

great elephant with a "quirky" head Morkel says :bg3:
I agree with the suggestions & the room on the bottom and top.
