Nice picture, Dave. You might have enough details for a head shot only. The head detais look fascinating in a close up.

Hi Dave. Nice pose, plus good sharpness and background. The head looks a bit bright to me - you might try darkening it by about 1/3 stop to see if you like that better. Overall, this is very nicely done and a minor tweak will take it up a notch! :S3:

I did have trouble on deciding how much to tone this down. Following up on Steve's suggestion here is another version.

Wonderful shot.
Great background, details are excellent, and repost looks better.
I would consider a tighter crop.

Hi Dave, I really like the detail around the head and bill, together with the colours. I felt your OP was fine with regards to tonality, but would change the comp to suit only a portion of the neck and head, and that the head falls at least into the first half of the frame.

Thanks everyone. Sounds like a vertical and perhaps tighter crop was the way to go. Much appreciated.
