Still working off the series from the weekend.
I think I have good light and head angle on this one.
Even went a bit more than my normal sharpening

400mm w/1.4X, ISO 800, 1/640, f/9, manual exposure(on the bird), mid morning shot

Hi Dave,

Very nice head angle and exposure. I would like to see a little more room in front of the Heron but that's about it. Did you get an image in horizontal??

Thanks for input Maxis, I should have mentioned that this was a heavy crop.....most of mine have to be. I will try a more spacey horizontal and vert.

I like the pose, setting and soft light and agree with Maxis regarding a wider crop and more room at the right.

Very nicely done, Dave. These guys are usually skulking about in the shadows, it seems. I too agree with the cropping suggestions.
