The talons here are great. Although not a fan of the post, the effect it has on the splaying of the talons is neat!

Sharp and well exposed.

Rather unusual background, almost too many layers for my taste, but certainly different.

The bg is a combination of water and aquatic vegetation near the shoreline of a lake. I purposely used this angle to get the striped effect in the bg.

Dank, I am pretty sure that this is a tape job. As for the image, it is sweet symmetry, and yes, those talons rock.

This is an older image that I re-processed recently. It is the same Owl that you used to photograph with me by Lake Kissimmee. I used to call this Owl with a recording, but after a while he would just come out when he saw my truck without even being called. I can't remember if I called him or not when this photo was made, but it is more likely than not that I did.

That serious look on the face reminds me of one of my professors in the college. Having said that I would prefer seeing this guy than the prior!! Very neat shot, I am fine with the perch, the eye contact is very good and so are the details. I am my self a big fan of un-uniform backgrounds and this really works for me !! Tfs

Absolutely love everything about this image. The BG is over the top with those layers. Love the symmetry and pose and the talons really rock. Post doesn't bother me a bit. In fact, it's nice to see one on a post for a change.
