Location:Bendigo, VIC 22/02/2013
Gear: Pentax K-30 and Sigma 150-500mm @ F6.3 1/400 ISO500, 500mm, +0.3ev Hand Held.
PP:ACR/CS5, shadows, Levels, selective colour, resize and sharpen for web.

All comments well.

Ah, now I'm taking points off because he's not in a Gum tree lol

Nah, seriously nice Kooka shot Charlie. Nicely framed between upper and lower branches, but not so sure on the leaves, maybe a desaturation on the leaves may work to conceal them a little.....or clone out. Liking the backdrop with hints of blue sky showing through. Bird is sharp and evenly focused and the colors are striking and nicely contrasted, I reckon a slight tweak to the eye/pupil to slightly darken it would improve this even more....good stuff Charlie !

Excellent work. The bird is shown very nicely in habitat.

Nice detail and pose. I would rather see a darker bg behind the head but nice nonetheless.
