Camera : Canon 40D / Lens : 400 F5.6
F 6.3, 1/500, ISO 800, + 2/3 Bias.

This is taken handheld, I didn't think I would ever get that close to a Laggar that my 400 would be too much
focal length.

What a weird pose you have there. Was it very windy or had it just landed or about to take off?

Would like to have seen a bit more of the beak against the sky but everything else looks good in my beginner opinion

Shane, the bird was just about to take off, this images is just moments before.... thanks for taking the time to comment on the image.

Hi Ishmeet,

You captured a nice moment here. The falcon has a nice stare, and a very dynamic pose. It's nice that you were able to get in real close, and I hope you have more from this series to share!

Very sharp, especially considering the 1/500" shutter speed (and handholding a cropped body). Nicely done.

An interesting and different pose. Very sharp and well focused. A more natural perch would have been nice. I assume this was in sanctuary or feeding station or something?

Very nice shot!
I really like the pose, nice details, and great comp.
I dont really mind the perch and I really like how it's talons are wrapped on the perch.
Well done.

Very nice pose, sharp, and good details. The only thing I wish is that the bird was not right in the center.
