Red Tailed Hawk in flight late afternoon. The image isn't as sharp as I would have liked (may be hand shaking?), but I like the intense look of the bird.

It looks sharp to me, a bit too saturated and not great light on the bird.
I think you tried to bring up the light on the wings but unfortunately lost some detail.
The nice look at the head and I do like the determined expression.

Thank you Dan. I realized I underexposed the underside of the wings, so untied to lighten it a little bit. I should try to use filled flash next time.

Satish and Dan, I see it now. The loss of details was due to under-exposure. I was in Manual mode and had only a second to take aim when the hawk was closing in.
