This one is from the South African section at UC Santa Cruz Arboretum... also known as sugerbushes, it's a striking large red flower. The first thing that came to my mind was to try Fractalius! For processing, I reduced the opacity of the fracted layer and used a mask to open up a bit of the flower. Hope you like it...

Very dramatic. I especially like the the red lines on the outside dark petals as they frame the flower.

The lovely glow caught my eye immediately. It's a beautiful flower and your fract work is perfect for the image. Nicely done!!

Good one Indranil, love the light emanating from the flower. What a great subject this bloom is! Excellent Fractalius work, just enough to add a magical element.

Indranil, the bloom looks like it is rising from the flames. Really nice work:S3:

Wonderful glow from within! The fractilus makes the light seem to continue outward from the tips of the petals. I wonder if you can open up a little detail in the upper right corner and the lower left near the flower. I like how the flower seems to be held by the darler petals/leaves. Lovely image.
