Out again this AM photographing the Cape Coral residents , and caught this one just as it was leaping onto the perch next to the burrow. Just lucky sometimes.:2eyes2:

Joe, this is a great picture of a beautiful bird. Love the pose. I'm wondering if the focus is a little bit off? I see the grass in front of the owl is a bit sharper. Wonder if others see the same or it is just me.

Love the pose and the light.
The head/eye area is a bit soft but it looks like it could be salvaged with some more sharpening.
Really like that take off pose-very different and unusual,

I like the pose, setting and conplimentary BG. I agree with more sharpening on the head/eye area. Nice image Joe.

Oh wow, great timing! I've been out to cape coral quite a few times and have never seen something like this, let alone captured it! Well done!

Nice lighting and great timing! There seems to be a bit motion blur in this shot, and I'm surprised that 1/2500 sec., didn't quite stop the action.
