I know this could have been better had the rising sun not been quite so far to my left. But I like the humorous, almost Dr. Seuss-like, appearance of these guys. Common enough for you Floridians, but a treat for us northerners. From Ding Darling in November. C&C always appreciated.

D7000, 700mm, ISO 800, 1/2000s @ f/7.1 manual, gitzo and mongoose.

I like the llanding, lovely freeze.the details look fantastic and the clean background enhances the image

Nice dynamic shot Bill. Everything about it is fine, except that the whites under the bird's right wing look slightly hot on my monitor.

Bill - I think you're right about the Dr. Seuss like quality. It all works for me - landing pose, wing spread, position in frame, sharpness and bg. What's in the lrc?

Thanks all. Rachel, That's a feather floating on the water. I decided to leave it in; it gives the Ibis something to aim at.

It's a great pose bill and I like the water droplets coming of the feet as well as the backlit Wings
