Driving through the nature reserve close to my house last saturday morning, I liked this setting of these two Ostrich's scanning over the grassland, I took the shot, and would like your feedback if it works. My original processed image had a little more room on top and bottom, but have posted this version. Taken early morning. They are actually lying down in the grass.

It works for me. I like it. The image tells a story. The techs are good. Because I have seen only zoo ostriches, I wonder if there is enough room on the bottom for the virtual body & feet.

Thanks Andrew. I should have mentioned, these guys were lying down.

Hey Stu, this is such a cool image, and it definitely works for me. The wild flowers look so nice and it's almost comical to see these two heads peering out.
I wonder if moving the duo a bit to the left would work - although it's great as is.
What a luxury to have a reserve like this close by!

Brilliant image in my opinion. I like the alert posture of each bird. I also enjoy the prominence you gave the fg
grasses/flowers. Would not change a thing.

Stuart - the image design is great. It is something one can totally see in certain areas of Africa and works perfectly for me. Well done.

Yes it rings my bell Stu, I like the composition and the birds are really sharp, I have no reservations at all.

Lovely image, I love peek-a-boo style images and this one works well with your shooting angle.

Thanks Sid, I see your point about the placement, the Ostrich on the right is nearly placed in the center of the frame, so moving them both left a touch will work. :w3

Thank you to everyone else for your positive feedback and kind words.

Quite a remarkable image this is, I do agree that lesser space at the bottom would have enhanced this quite a bit but I still love it the way it is now...

Wonderful shot Stuart.
I just love how the heads come out from grasses, terrific comp, very nice light, and great IQ.
Very well done.
