Nikon D200 w/Nikkor 80-400mm f/4.5-5.6 vr lens, hand held
ISO 400; f/11, 1/160 sec, MM -1
PP: Topaz DeNoise 4, CS6 levels, curves, crop, sharpen
Near the Lookout Inn, Osa Peninsula, Costa Rica.
Shooting up into a canopy always creates problems, with a generally busy background, and with open patches of sky and variously colored leaves tending to draw the eye away from what is important. Still, I like this image because it shows a significant aspect of bird behavior, as the two parent Scarlet Macaws preen the feathers of their baby.
All C&C are welcome.
