The gannet stands out nicely against the cold looking water. Exposure looks good - I like the detail in the whites of the near wing. In fact, it looks as if the focus point may have been on the wing instead of the head. I wonder if a bit of selective sharpening, and a bit of brightening, around the eye area might help. I don't know the area, but a lower point of view (if possible) might have given a greater sense of intimacy with the bird.

Good comments above from Bill. The colors are great and the exposure is spot on. I might prefer a slightly looser crop, if you can. Well done.

Excellent image of Gannet.I like the exposure,details in whites and waves in the water.Great advice by Bill Sir.
Would add more space in front of bird.

Lovely bird and colors. Your bird is well exposed. I understand it may not have been possible, but the image would be more pleasing had it been photographed from a lower angle.
