A tight crop of this extremely shy bird which came too close for my 400mm focal length. True to its name the bird displays a beautiful pattern on its feathers that almost looks like it was painted by an artist at leisure.

Perfect head angle for the over-the shoulder pose. Maybe a tad more d-o-f and a bit more room all around. EXP and sharpness good.

It is a truly beautiful bird. I like the looking back pose. Yes, as you mentioned it is a little too tight. You still might be able to add canvas to the left and top.

Great shot. I love the detail you caught with the white feathers on the head and body. The bird is really working this pose.

Beautiful image of this cool bird...Looks like focus was on it's back wish for more DOF and sharp eye..

Super shot of a terrific species! Focus looks slightly off on the head, but its still great!

Great looking bird, like the over the shoulder stare, just a hint more selective sharpen on the head would improve a little, but great shot all the same
