Congrats dankearl, it's been my experience that buffleheads are super-difficult to capture in this pose -- I've tried and failed.

Different = I like different :S3:..........love those wings and water spray, a little soft in the blacks on the lower back maybe, but still pretty amazing Dan

Nice backflap and sharpness. Some sun--not too much--would have been nice.

Don, this was at Westmoreland, same as the flying Buffleheads photo I posted last week.
A better place for in flight ducks, this one in crappy light as noted by Arthur and Gail.
It is wide open, light (when we have some), from all angles.
