Snow Buntings live up to there name by skiing around and over drifted when everyone else at the feeders use their wings.

What great action captured. I never knew they did that. And great title. And comp. I wonder if a tiny bit of selective sharpening on the bird could help?

Lovely shot I had already decided, I try not to read previous critique but I do agree a little more sharpening on the bird would help improve impact.

Hi Bob,
I just love the skiing pose and your title.
The outstretched legs are hilarious and I like the snow flakes in the air.
The bird, unfortunately, is soft. I would try some serios sharpening to see if you can improve this image,
Gail

Excellent behavior captured!!!
First time I have ever seen a shot like this of any bird.
Love the snow that got lifted by the bird and the claws coming out of the snow.
Softness of the bird already mnetioned.
Well done.

What a special image to have gotten. looks like hes snowboarding! I really like the flying snow and the fact that you have a visible foot takes it to a better level.

Neat shot. Looks like a downhill skier. I like the extended foot, the focused look of concentration on where he's headed, and the flying snow.

I like the slight softness in this image, I think it works in well with the overall scene. I've never seen behavior like this before, cute and fascinating all at the same time, gotta love the little plume of snow in front. very pleasing to my eyes

Thank to everyone! It is soft and close to 100% crop - the pair were doing quite a bit of skiing - even off a powder covered shed roof. Bob
