I started observing birds closely only after I started photography while in USA. I used to feel very bad that I am introduced so late to the beautiful world of birds...I am so excited to see and photograph birds of Indian subcontinent.

On my way to Melghat Tiger reserve I found few parakeets hanging around a small farm and this female in particular was close the the edge of road feasting on Castor oil Seeds...

I wish the complete tail was visible...Let me know how you like it..

C&C most welcome.

I love the colours here, such pretty birds. Nice HA and feeding behaviour.

Lovely colors and a nice setting. The framing could be a bit looser, in my opinion.

Nice lookback pose and interesting perch!

It's a bit tight for me also, esp. at the top and bottom, although I would also like a bit more on the left.

Good composition, colors, exposure. Agree with a slightly looser crop. Great BG. Well done.

Wonderful shot.
Beautiful looking bird.
I really like the pose, great side lighting, and love the vegetation.
Agree on a more loose comp.
Well done.

Sachin:
One more vote for loose crop for this excellent image of rose ringed lady with nice inquisitive pose.
Love the colors,lights,details and environment.

Nice over the shoulder head angle Sachin, and liking the clear eye, quite sharp, but a little bit of typical 7D noise showing, expectable at ISO 1000.

I may be wrong but that looks a lot like a Castor Oil plant, in which case I'm surprised to see something eat it as it's highly poisonous

Better late than never eh Sachin!! I agree with a looser crop too, but I am OK with the partially hidden tail as that leaf is a beauty. I would tone down the OOF leaf near the wingtip though. I love all the greens here and the tan BG works very well with those.

Thank you everyone for the nice comments and suggestions.

The posted image is almost full frame with slight crop from left and top...here is re post with crop from only left side to remove a distracting branch.
