I find that this kind of image can be hard to pull off but this one works well IMO with the near perfect symmetry and just the right amount of overlap!

It's hard to tell but, for some reason, I keep feeling like maybe it could use some CW rotation?
Wish for a bit more life in the eye of the main subject.

Geir:

As Mike mentioned, it is not easy to get an overlap image to work well IMO. I like the almost identical poses, including the far leg up in each case.

The wave action in the BG gives the sense of needing rotation, but as posted I think it gives the image a sense of tension and movement.

I suspect you wish you would get a little sunlight too, to help with a catchlight. There does seem to be the slightest lighter crescent at the top of the front birds eye, perhaps you can tease out a bit more there.

Cheers

Randy

Usually not my favorite type of image, but I absolutely agree with the 2 critiques above. Like the water splash and the symmetry.

beautiful, even though the bird angle is not perfect the blair bird makes the different.
