The bird looks terrific, the flower was just too close.
A step to the right would have been ideal if you could.

Sweet looking stilt. I also find the flower to be distracting How bout a vertical to avoid the flower? I like the pose colors and bg too

Sweet looking bird and BG. Don't think a vertical would work to completely eliminate the bright flower, as it would lead to too little space on the left. Suggest burning it down to reduce brightness, or perhaps even cloning it out, but thaty would be a lot of work. Lovely image overall. TFS.

The IQ on the bird is lovely and liking the striped oof backdrop....but yes the flower grabs too much attention as is

Agree about the flower. Nice bird and nice detail and exposure on it.

Lovely sharp image - I too find the flower a little distracting, but still a fine image,
Cheers Greg

Another vote for losing the flower. Nice job on the bird and BG.

nice pose and details, I don't mind the OOF flower in the FG but not sure about the OOF branches, a bit distracting

Thanks for the feedback everyone, I knew the general con census would not be favourable towards the base of the image but there was nothing I could do, I was gliding along in the canoe and had to get the shots best I could.

Hi Jon, this Stilt is tack sharp, which in turn has brought out the detail so well. Love the colours in the BG too. Whilst floating in a boat doesnt give you many options, I feel you have nailed this under the circumstances. Going vertical will rid you of a few dead wood, but its not going to help with part of the flower. :w3
