I had a rare local opportunity last week with some Pine Grosbeaks who were frequenting some crabapple trees at a nearby office park.

Excellent result from this type of scenario. Love all the color provided by the crabapples. The neatest feature to me is the
tail feather seperation....from wind? Consideration could be given to blending out/cloning out...whatever, the two whitish
spots to the left of the bird's head in the bg...

Hi Mike. I really like the detail on the bird, as well as the pleasing background colors. I agree with Shawn about cloning out the two white spots.

Hi Mike, lovely angle of capture, and well timed to get the open beak whilst feeding. I like how the colours of the grosbeak pop against the lighter BG.

Lovely colors Mike, and I do like the food in the beak, very natural, sharp and liking the berries....agree about removing the two bright spots

Very pretty image Mike. The light is gorgeous and the details on the bird stunning.
The berries all around add color and a sense of the environment nicely. I'd remove the two white spots in the ULC.

A beauty, Mike. Lovely colors, good comp and detail, and interesting tail feather separation. I like the way the oof crabapples arranged themselves around the bird.

Beautiful soft light and colours, I love the OOF berries in the background. Nice sharp details on the bird and I like the fact it’s got a beak full of berries. Great image Mike.

Aren't these the sweetest little birds!
I like the inclusion of the environment and the way the wind has forced the bird to raise its wing to keep her balance.
I would burn the two bright white spots in the RUQ,
