Exposure: great!
Detail: nice detail in the in-focus areas. Good post processing.
Light: nice and even
Pose: I'm okay with no eye contact because we can see the bird is eating a grub, so we still have a complete story in the image.
Composition: The low angle you shot from gave you a beautiful background. It did obscure the orange thing on the left. I wish we could either see the orange thing well enough to tell what it is, OR clone it out altogether.

Matthew's comments are spot on. A slightly higher angle of view wouldn't of hurt either, so as to see the feet. I do agree that the orange on the left is distracting and would consider cloning it out all together.

I like the orange in the picture. I feel that it creates balance in the image.

Perfect focus on the eye, good exposure and BG, Geir. I agree that this is one case where a slightly higher viewpoint may have been a little nicer as it would have reduced the OOF foreground, concealed the feet less and made the ?piece of kelp more obvious as to what it is - alternatively it may have extended behind the bird and so a higher point would not have given the same clean BG

Nice, super low angle image, Geir. The fallen leaf to the left is a nice inclusion.

Geir, have you cropped this much? I could see a slightly looser compostion, if your original capture allows it. I like the soft light and the feeding pose.

I think I could do without the rock on the left. I like the low angle and the exposure looks good.

Foraging pose is great. The texture of all that sand on the bill is a nice feature to the image, and I wonder what
the little morsel is in it's bill. The orange thing to the left may add balance as you say, but imo it also adds confusion...
what the heck is it? :) Maybe if you said what it was, it would make more visual sense to me...I realize that really shallow dof is your style, but upping the iso to 800 and stopping down to try and get those legs in focus, would have been an improvement here imo.

Very nice shot.
I really like the pose, excellent low angle, sharp, and I agree with Grace on a loser crop.
The oof seaweed in my opinion distracts more than it adds, but thats just me.
Either way...... Terrific shot.

Very nice BG and details on the head of the bird as well as low angle. I see you needed much more DOF especially with the bird facing you. I would also clone out the kelp or dark area on the left as I think it detracts more than adds to the image. And I would apply some NR on the BG as well as I see some artifacts that can be smoothed out.
