Hey Mark, What lens? Pretty sharp with a nicely chosen BKGR. Nice head angle. This is always an awkward composition but you have handled it well. A bit of bill clean-up would improve this.

Mark:

lovely bird and capture. A bit more DOF would have been nice( but you obviously didn't have a lot of light to work with.)

I love the pose, and as a one time zoologist, I know better than to attribute human emotions to animals, but he looks like he is yearning to fly once again.

Cheers

Randy

Good comp, details, colours. Beautiful BG. I'm not a huge fan of the blunt ending to the bill often found on captive subjects but I can understand the reasoning in it.

Thanks for the feedback everyone.

Artie,
This was the Canon 70-300L. Great point on beak, will do. Thank you.

Randy,
i agree with your feelings, he really did want hit the sky. This fellow is actually fully flight capable - the rehab center said he was brought in with some sort of head injury and some residual neurological issues that prevent him from acquiring an accurate target on his prey. The Stillman Nature Center is a great place, love supporting them!

Daniel,
agree with your sentiments, thank you.
