Tripod Canon 7D Canon 500mm f4 L IS ISO 400 1/2500 sec f5.6
Not quite the usual hovering pose, I thought it was just a little different. I was hiding behind bushes whilst he was hovering, I think I must have caught his attention.

Hi Jon, yes to being different from the normal hovering pose, but I like this due to the fact that he has interest in you. Well exposed, sharp where it counts, and I do like the wind swept feathers.

The unique head angle makes this a super shot.
Good IQ and I like the fact that the head did not merge with the far wing,

Wild looking pose, getting the head sharp makes it work.
A non sky BG would have been really nice!

An interesting pose Jon which because it is different holds my attention. Excellent control of the point of focus and very well exposed.
