Another image from the Marakissa River, The Gambia. Taken from a canoe, camera mounted on tripod with my feet braced between the tripod legs.
Canon 7D Canon 500mm f4 L IS ISO 400 +0.3 1/2000 sec f5. A little cropping for composition and straightening up in the frame, a couple of distracting blobs in the background were removed.
All comments welcome.

Excellent image.I like the pose of darter with raised foot and nice colors.
Red eye of the cormorant looks great.Very nice panorama-crop composition and BG.
Love it.

Like this one alot. Might just take some more off the bottom. The pano format works well.

Hi Jon, good low perspective captured from your boat, and both posed against the far BG foliage. Both difficult characters to expose, but have done well. Well timed to get the raised foot of the darter.

Your ID of the 'long-tailed Cormorant' looks exactly the same as our Reed Cormorant including the red eye. Mind you, the Darter also looks the same as our species down here. :w3
