Well keeping the theme of images going, and as I put on the hippo image, this will not be in keeping with some who like Wildlife portrayed in the 'natural' form of colour rendition, however I do feel that it's good to explore different options every now and then. :bg3:

Hi Steve - seems very different for you but I like it. Lots of nice lines and curves (head, ears, mane and of course the stripes) with your usual excellent sharpness and IQ. I also like the layered look of the bg.

Rachel

love the pose, clarity and detail
I'd go all B&W over his butt :bg3:

That's another option too. :bg3:

Hey Steve,
have you been to the graveyard and dug out Sid Vicious ?? Looks like !

Rough looking zebra portrait, looks quite ok. Different . Interesting .

Like the posture feel of this .But i would tone done the brighter parts in BG, to make the zebra stand more out.

Very amusing image Steve. I have known people who look like this. It seems a bit centered to me. Do you have any room on the right? Excellent IQ.

:bg3: Andreas, looks OK on print, can I ask, when did you last calibrate? The reason I asked it it's the second time you have commented on the whites, just curious. :w3

Cheers Andrew, sadly shot portrait. :tinysmile_shy_t:

Dear Steve,
my screen is just right ,like it is generally always.I am not sloppy on calibrating.
Not saying it is looking hot !!!!!
Just saying i find the lighter spots kind of disturbing, nothing wrong with them just a matter of taste to get the BG a bit more even looking !

Just a quick illustration.
Cheers Andreas

I think I would prefer the B&W to the color version on this one.

I would either go all B&W or full color.
I think the zebra looks great either way, but the in between Color here finds me wanting more.

Hi Steve,
Quite the mane on this one, reminds me of the crest of a Spartan helmet. I kind of like your choice of color processing on this one, something different that I've tried on some of my own images. Always interesting to look at the patterns on these guys. I like the tilted back ear position of this one.
