very nice light and pose. nice clean bg. It looks like there is a little bit unsharpness due to movement, on the head.

Very nice indeed Chris - A very strong vertical composition, great pose, nice lighting, perch and BG. A very appealing image.

Love the light and the composition.
I would sharpen the eye and area around it a bit more.

I feel like I'm falling off a cliff! I wonder about a bit of clockwise rotation?

You nailed the background on this tit image.
Nicely sized perch, with plenty of character too.
Great subject pose, though I do wish for a slight head turn...
bird turning it's head slightly to it's right/more square to the
sensor, would be stronger imo.

Hi Chris, great view of the grip, and I really like the light, and colour of the lichen on the perch. The placement works well, and your BG is a killer.

Great subject, light, perch, BG, comp. I too get the feeling the image may have had some slight movement blur (camera shake) to it that was negated by some extra sharpening.

The pose, design, perch, bg and light are all excellent. Agree that the motion blur let you down a bit. Not familiar with a 7d but perhaps trading some iso for more SS was an option?

A familiar dilemma Chris - this darned light or lack of it! I like the shot but I think it is perhaps a little over-sharpened, I too suspect slight subject movement. So long as the image is well exposed I would not be afraid of pushing up the ISO - provided you do not need to crop much at all.
