Hi everyone, it's good to be back, this was taken in The Gambia, this butterfly is easy enough to see and find but it tends to settle in areas of high contrast. I had to do some light balancing here and also physical balancing as I was near a pool of water and a column of marching ants hence no tripod used.
All comments welcome.

Hi Jon. Good job of HH and yup, it's good to stand clear of marching columns of ants! :S3: This image has a lot going for it. I like the diagonal of the stem, the comp, the even lighting, and the clean background. Also, the butterfly is posing nicely and you have good sharpness plus good detail in both the yellows and whites. Very well done!

Hi Jon, love the comp here, and you have brought out the detail in both the butterfly and flower perch nicely. I do like the pastel yellow of the butterfly too.

Hi Jon, nice work here. The clarity is awesome. The color, the perch..everything works beautifully. May be, you can darken the bg a bit, just a thought.

Very nice image Jon! Great exposure and pleasing comp. I would crop a bit from the top, I feel there is a little too much empty space. Cropping would help to focus more on the butterfly. Very well done!

What amazing little details you acquired in your flower and on those antennae.

Thanks very much everyone for your comments, I look forward to seeing what you think very much. I will be posting a similar image shortly but it was taken with different lens and lighting, it will be interesting to note your comparisons/observations.

Lovely shot. Personally I would have taken out some of the right for a more squareish format but is good as is too.
