Hi Sanjeev,
you really proceeded in processing, good to see !!

Super IQ , i think .

Cute baby langur with protection by mummy.
Composing works fine here, contrast , tonality and sharpness look spot on.
Not knowing exact color of the monkeys, i feel i would reduce the reds a tad.Plus there is a color shift on LHS arm to magenta /purple on the border to blue sky.

Hi Andreas! Thanks for you comments. The adults are darker and almost have black faces, where as the little ones are browner, if i may say so. I see the purple/magenta cast at the border, will fix it. Also the image was taken in the evening just before sunset so a bit warmer, I can tone it down a bit.
Cheers,
sanjeev

Hi Sanjeev - Andreas is certainly right about your pp, it has really come a long way in a short time. What a great look at the baby - good detail and sharpness with awesome eye contact. Well done. The cast is easy to deal with, the only thing I'm not sure of is the comp. I like the protective feel of the adult's leg and arm as borders but I wish the baby's feet and the mother's hand weren't cut off at the bottom. Any chance you shot additional frames wider to include both mother and baby or even tighter on just the baby?

Rachel

Hi Sanjeev, the images are getting better and your PP is certainly coming along, you are making some big improvements.

Another image that really would have benefitted from shooting wider, then cropping to give yourself the flexibility, the file can take cropping providing it not massive. certainly going for f/8 or a bit more has given you the detail, but I'm surprised the baby's body isn't sharper overall, ie best, legs... did you not apply any sharpening there, only to the face? If you look, mom's leg RHS is sharp, the baby's head is sharp, but between the two it's soft? Would welcome your thoughts Sanjeev. I like the warm tones and the direct gaze which links to the viewer. Was the BKG blue, or have you added anything here, as there is some fringing on the side hairs.

Hi Steve, I did not Change the BG, the blue BG is sky and the monkies were sitting on a tin roof, hence I did not include the feet. I sharpened the image over all and not selectively. I see what u mean, but it was presented as is.
cheers & thanks to you and the BPN community for helping me with the PP.

Thanks Sanjeev, that's fine, just had to ask. :w3 If you re running CS6/5 then it's easy to fix the fringing on the arms, but better in LR.

Now when are you going to join :bg3: remember, you then become eligible for IOTW!!!! :tinysmile_shy_t:

I can only echo that your processing has come a long way. Great expression on the little one and captured in good light.
I agree shooting wider here would have been a bit better.
Looking forward to your growth in 2013! :5
