Three days ago I watched a pair of Western Grebes cruising across a pond and grooming as they went. This bird had retracted its elegantly long neck in order to reach farther to scratch with that odd looking foot.

Hi,

I like the overall comp., the sharpness of the bird, the eye, and the reflection with its symmetry. Water color is very pleasing. But I find it a bit hard o work out just what part of the bird is doing what, and where the foot is.

Nice behavior. A tighter crop for me and another round of sharpening on the bird.,

Interesting behavior. Agree on a tighter crop would definitely showcase your subject and behavior more.

I like the pose, colours, the many ripples, and the reflection. If the IQ can withstand it I would definitely crop it tighter. The brightest whites on the head could be toned down too.
