Nice colors, sharp, well exposed.

I find all the needles, some with fairly bright highlights, a bit distracting. Perhaps a smaller f/stop for better subject isolation. It might also be possible to crop a bit tighter to lessen the needles effect.

I like him perching on the pine cone.

What an unusual perch for a Nuthatch!
Sharp and well exposed, the fauna does sort of overwhelm the bird,
but it is interesting.

I love the perch and environmental shots. This shows were he is found and I like the needles radiating form the cone and in the direction he is looking. I might consider cropping off the bottom but it is very nice just the way it is.

What a lovely capture of the Nuthatch Grace - love the perch and its complimentry colours with the warm tones of the bird. I also like the habitat shot showing some of the environment, but a small crop from bottom would strengthen the composition IMO.

This is really really good. I've seen many many redbreasted nuthatch images where the bird
is obviously coming to a feeder where perches are set up. I've only seen a handful of
"good" images in this type of scenario. It's nice that the light is low angled enough
that the shadows did not get overly blocked up....

I like the "different" habitat. A bit busy BG but I am OK with it as it is a "real life" shot.
I might place the nuthatch a tiny bit higher and more to the right of frame.

Hi Grace, I like the placement as is, and if anything, maybe a touch off the RHS. Good look back pose, and although the colours of the nuthatch 'clash' with the pine cone, the little guy still stands out well enough. Sharpness spot on, and well exposed.
