I took this shots this morning. The light direction was not the best for BIF shooting from my position.
I mainly was shooting swimming ducks.
Thanks for looking.

Two in one frame is quite the feat, Karl. I especially like the downswept wings of the lower duck , and the lovely green patch showing. I think I would lighten his head just a bit.

Well done Karl to capture this duo on the wing - makes for a very pleasing composition. As you mention, the lighting wasn't at an ideal angle but still are very nice image.

That is nice Karl, I agree about the light direction but it does appear from the settings and IQ, you could lighten the heads a bit.

nice to get both in the frame, I like the colors and BG. it seems that the sharpest focus was on the near wing of the upper bird.

Congrats for getting both of them at the same time. Clean BG and nice wing position, especially from the lower bird. I also think the focus won't on the eye.

Good skills Karl but like Arash said, the sharpness seems to be on the teal bringing up the rear which lets it down IMO.

Looks like you got more than mallards to shot. Nice job and I like this one . Not easy to get both ducks in focus, so good job. Light position wasnt the best but still looks good. Well done

Thanks, Arash. I checked the active focus point.
Actually it sits on the tail of the second bird.
It means that at the time I pushed the botton, it was somewhere on the body, might even have been on the head of the second bird. That rig with the 1.4x is pretty hard to keep on the target.
I lost the first two frames (OOF slightly) but managed to bumb the shutter and refocus for the next three frames.
