Well with a day off today for the Melbourne Cup I decided to head out to the GBNP (Kamarooka area) to try and get a decent shot of the White-winged Triller's that are in the area. Well as you can see the WWT did not play fair but whilst hiding out hoping for their return this White-browed Woodswallow drop in for a photo. (I was unable to get any keeper shots of the WWT this time)

Gear: Pentax K200D and Sigma 150-500mm APO DG OS @F6.3 1/1600 ISO400 500mm -0.3exp
PP: Slight crop to portrait resize for web, and sharpen in CS5

Hi Charlie, a species I havent seen before. I like how the back of the bird follows the line of the upright part of the perch on the left.

Looking at your settings, you had enough ss to achieve sharpness on a static subject, so additional sharpening may work.

You have posted 1024 in height, where the image size should be 1024 on the width, and 800 in height.

Please take time to comment on other members images too, as we all learn from each other.

Neat bird, a new one for me as well. Good exposure, and I like the marbled BG. I'd crop in tighter, and a bit of NR to the BG would not hurt.
