Hey Rob, this is a cute little bird, and his colours match nicely on the rock. He is quite small in the frame, and the extra elements at left do not add much to the image. I know it is not always possible, but if you could somehow get closer while it perched on that rock you could end up with some very interesting images full of richer colours and neat patterns on the perch. We don't see this species posted much, thanks for sharing it!

I do love this cute little guy. I saw my first last year at Eastman Lake - same perches there as you have. He is hard to keep up with on those rocks. I don't know if you cropped this but I would agree with Daniel that it might be better with the rock on the left was cropped off. The colors in the rock match beautifully the birds colors. The bird is sharp which I found was not easy because of their constant movement.

This is a sweet little bird Rob well camouflaged with its environment. I agree it would be nice to see it just a little larger in the frame but still maintaining a good representive of the Canyon rock.

Thank You, Dan, Laurie, and John for your comments. This photo was taken when I was trying different settings. Closer to this bird was not working and I am really at odds with "cropping" ideas, at this time.
