Taken earlier today at LaChua Trail. This time change is really going to mess with my shooting, but I made the best of it this weekend :) I was focused on a Kingfisher that has been showing up every day for the past week, but he must have been full as he didn't move from his branch for over 20 minutes. I was taking stills (hence the 'low' shutter speed) when I noticed the cattle egret come in from afar. This shot is cropped heavily, probably only 25% of the original image is left.

Shooting Info:
Nikon d800 + 500 f/4 VR + 1.4x
1/800" | f/5.6 | ISO 1600

Hi Miguel, I like your placement of the egret, and you have captured a good banking angle. Whites look spot on, and the egret is separated from the BG very well.

That 800 is doing very well for you. Even with a large crop it still looks good. Like the pose and the hanging legs. Exposed well too.
