This pair of Double-barred finches, perched on flowering wattle, were attracted to a seed-feeder.

Absolute beauty!
Love the BG and pose of the upper bird, and wish the whites were a bit less bright on bird at left. Overall a winner!

Super shot, I agree about the whites it was the first ting that hit me, have you tried selecting the brightest highlights and doing a linear burn?

Very nice John! I agree about the whites being a bit hot on the let bird. Otherwise, stunning image!

Very beautiful shot and nice work on the setup. The two positions of the birds. the HAs, the perch and the comp make for a great photo. I would tone down the bird and the flowers a bit as the yellows seem a bit hot on my monitor too. Great work!

I too would tone down the yellows and whites a bit if you can, but, wow, John, this is pretty incredible! Just love the comp and the angle of the birds towards one another, those gorgeous colors and that background!

Lovely interaction and colors here. Great seeing the pair perched together on such a super perch. Whites and yellow are looking too bright for my taste.

Wonderful shot. The perch is excellent, and I like the pose of the birds. The whites of the lower bird, and of the stems of the flower clusters, are pretty harsh. If you can, I would tone those down a fair bit. You might be able to extract a little more detail in those yellow flowers by doing so as well, as the yellow looks to be near clipping. Superb shot, otherwise. Love the composition.

Thanks Jonathan - no I've never used that particular technique. I wil see if I can figure that one out.

What a treat to get two of these, and facing each other with the flowers to compliment :)
I agree with the comments above on the whites being a little hot
