Dear friend,

Sorry could not participate for sometime now, was really tied down, but now I am back and hope to learn more about this art from the masters this forum presents.

This is a Juvenile Montagu's Harrier diving down to hunt a dragonfly. they are just back to winter here. I was fun taking the challenge to freeze them and sure learnt a lot more about them from it. I kept the crop tight for web as the bird looked lost in a larger crop.

Spec: 1/2500, ISO 1000, F 5.6.

Mk4+500mm+1.4 TC.

Regards,

Kiran.

Great to see you posting your fantastic images again Kiran! Excellent dynamic pose; the visible eye makes all the difference. A bit of noise in the far wing primaries, but not much else wrong with this one.

Very cool pose with the feet hanging. Exposed well and good detail. Looks a bit noisy in the blacks. Yes, the eye visibility makes the difference. Great capture.

Thank you for your kind words Doug Bhai, I applied two rounds of NR on the far wing, the the grainy effect remained. :-(

Thank you too David.

Cheers, Kiran.

Absolutely super, the apparent noise, I suspect, would appear much diminished if the crop were a little less tight.

Kiran, stunning capture! Wondering what it would look like as a vertical shot, with more room to the bottom. Either way, very nice work. Look forward to seeing more, especially if you have them from this series!

An awesome capture Kiran and so lucky to get the eye clear of the wing. Love that fanned tail and I've no problem with the BG which appears good for iso 1000.
