This fine fellow was captured yesterday. The good color was fading, but lots of activity. The birds didn't seem to mind the color change. :S3:

I cropped this several different ways, but felt this was a good balance of water trail and room to run into.

Post: Selective sharpening, crop as mentioned

Advice and comments always appreciated.

I like the crop you chose. The water trail is great and I like the colours.

yes i like your composition Randy although a little extra canavas at the top wouldn't go astray. Well caught action and good detail retained in the whites. Nice one.

Thanks folks!

I appreciate your input. I do have more room above. The far shoreline was there, and I was trimming it out, but it isn't bad, so may recrop it!

My favorite of the series Randy, always like a bit of action. I agree with a bit more on top. Great golden colors, upright wings position and waterspash.

Lovely take off pose. Love the splash, the raised foot and the colors/light. My eyes are yearning for more room on top.

Thanks everyone. I agree about the top. I wanted to keep the bird fairly big in the frame for impact, but the balance is better with more on top.
